The Street Division's crews work year-round patching potholes and addressing areas that need repairs to make our roads safe.
The City continues working on a long-term program to replace highly defective sidewalk squares throughout the City.
This multi-year program aims to add a sidewalk to at least one side of every street in Wheaton where there currently are none.
When snow starts to fall or icing conditions are present, the Public Works Department begins salting the City streets. The Department begins a plowing operation after an accumulation of 2 inches.
