Ride DuPage Transportation Program

Wheaton seniors 65 years and older and those who are disabled can receive curb-to-curb transportation service from their home to any location within DuPage County through the Ride DuPage program, a transportation program subsidized by Pace Suburban Bus Services and the City of Wheaton.

Cost & Service Hours

  • Fares are $2 per ride, plus $1 for every mile traveled within DuPage County only.
  • Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and requires 24 hours advance reservation to guarantee service.

Ride DuPage to Work

The City also offers the Ride DuPage to Work program for work-related travel only. Fares are a flat fee of $3 for the first six miles, plus $1 for each additional mile traveled within DuPage County only.

Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Reduced Fare Cards

The RTA Senior Ride Free Permit allows qualifying seniors age 65 and older to ride at no cost on CTA, Metra, and Pace fixed-route bus and rail services. Applicants must be enrolled in the Benefit Access Program administered by the Illinois Department on Aging (DOA). A Ride Free Permit for those who are disabled is also available.
