The City addresses inquiries and revisions through written Addenda, which are issued before the Bid/RFP opening date. These Addenda are available exclusively on the City's website and on DemandStar, listed under the corresponding bid. If you receive notification of the original solicitation through either of these websites, you will be automatically notified of any subsequent Addenda.

Attendance at pre-bid meetings is typically optional, but strongly encouraged. Occasionally, a solicitation may require a mandatory pre-bid meeting. In such instances, attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting is a prerequisite for eligibility to submit a bid and this requirement will be noted in the bid specifications.

Yes. Public bid openings are held at Wheaton City Hall on the date and time specified in the solicitation.

No. The City is exempt by law from paying sales tax on goods, equipment, and products permanently incorporated into the project, from State and City Retailer's Occupation Tax, State Service Occupation Tax, State Use Tax and Federal Excise Tax.
