UPDATE: Pavement striping originally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 22, has been postponed due to wet conditions. Parking is allowed on Main Street. We will provide an update once this work has been resceduled.
ORIGINAL INFORMATION: Weather permitting, the City will be restricting on-street parking on Main Street from Seminary Avenue to Illinois Street in downtown Wheaton from late Thursday night through Friday Sept. 22, 2023, while crews contracted by the City restripe the street pavement markings. This work is weather dependent. Temporary no parking signs will be in place prohibiting on-street parking on the following street segments between 10 p.m. Thursday night through Friday morning:
- Main Street, from Seminary Avenue to Illinois Street
Vehicles driving in this area may experience temporary delays with rolling lane closures on Main Street, and flaggers will direct vehicles around work crews. Please use caution if you are driving in the work area.
