City of Wheaton Public Works crews have been working continuously overnight clearing storm-damaged trees and limbs from last night’s severe weather. Their initial focus is clearing streets to make them passable, and then crews will move to clearing downed trees and limbs in the parkways. Crews will continue working over the weekend and into next week. We appreciate your patience as crews work to clear storm damage as quickly as possible.
To report storm damage that is located in the street, parkway or sidewalk, please use the City’s Online Request Form. Please note that City crews are only able to remove debris from City-owned trees, which includes those in the parkway and on City property, not trees on private property. Property owners with damage on private property should contact a contractor for assistance on their property, or use the City’s yard waste curbside program for branches and limbs following the requirements for pickup.
As always, if you are experiencing an emergency and need immediate assistance, call 9-1-1 for emergency services.
