Wheaton's Environmental Improvement Commission will host a free paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018. This event will take place in Commuter Lot 9, which is located at Carlton Avenue and Liberty Drive.
You can bring up to 3 boxes of paper for shredding; boxes should be the equivalent of standard copier paper/office boxes.
While you do not need to remove paper clips or staples, you MUST remove:
- rubber bands
- plastic page protectors
- binders
- plastic file tabs
- vinyl checkbook covers
- credit cards
- CDs
- photos
- plastic bags
- anything that is not paper.
Thank you for your assistance in keeping out materials that can damage the shredding machines.
