Wheaton has received approximately 7 inches of rain so far since Thursday, and this area is currently under a National Weather Service Flood Warning until 10:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2020. The City’s Public Works Department crews are working to respond to all calls coming in regarding flooding and are using every resource possible to assist residents. DuPage County’s flood water operations are at maximum capacity, as is the Wheaton Sanitary District.
Please do not drive or walk through flood waters. If you are driving and encounter standing water, the City encourages you to turn around and find an alternate route. Please use caution during this extraordinary rain event.
