The Wheaton Police Department invites Wheaton students to hear a story from Officer Witten and then share their own stories or drawings of courage and bravery with us. Here’s this week’s challenge:
We want to know what bravery means to you. All ages are encouraged to share with us one of the following:
- Write about a time when you were brave or when you witnessed a courageous act.
- Is there something at home or someone that makes you feel brave? What is it, and why does it make you feel brave?
- Draw a picture of what bravery looks like to you.
- Use your imagination to write a fictional story about bravery and courage.
We could all benefit from more stories of bravery and courage. The Wheaton Police Department will decorate our halls with all of yours. You can use this template for your story or drawing, or you can use your own paper.
Winners will be chosen and will receive their very own Wheaton Police patch in the mail. Please take a picture of your submission and email it to Officer Potter at ppotter@wheaton.il.us by Friday, May 1. Thank you for joining us on this journey of bravery.
