On Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, Wheaton Warrenville South High School will be hosting their inaugural Homecoming Parade along Wiesbrook Road. The parade will step off from Atten Park at 5 p.m. and continue south on Wiesbrook Road, concluding at the high school. This parade is estimated to last 30-45 minutes and will involve the closing of Wiesbrook Road from Muirfield Circle to Butterfield Rd (IL-56).
Access onto Wiesbrook Road will be closed along the parade route at Warrenville Avenue, Durfee Road, Stonegate Lane, Emden Lane, and Butterfield Road. Streets will be staffed with uniformed Police Officers to assist and direct traffic.
Residents, citizens, and motorists are being asked for their cooperation in not moving the barricades to ensure the safety of the parade participants and spectators. Motorists are advised to choose alternate travel routes to avoid traffic delays.
