The Wheaton Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 in the 400 block of W. Front Street.
A white male and a white female wearing ski masks forced entry to the residence. The homeowner was not home at that time, and a witness interrupted the burglary. The male suspect stated he had a gun but never displayed it.
The suspects fled the residence after stealing jewelry in a white Mercedes Benz with a possible partial Illinois plate 6529. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Lieutenant Cooley at 630-260-2077.
