The 4th annual Bike Wheaton Festival will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, beginning at 10 a.m. The following streets will be temporarily closed during the Bike Parade, from approximately 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- Wheaton Avenue between Wesley Street and Jefferson Avenue.
- Jefferson Avenue between Wheaton Avenue and West Street.
- West Street between Jefferson Avenue and Union Avenue.
- Union Avenue between West Street and Wheaton Avenue.
In addition, Karlskoga Avenue will be closed from Wheaton Avenue to Hale Street starting at 8 p.m. Friday, August 10, and concluding at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11.
Residents, citizens, and motorists are being asked for their cooperation in not moving the barricades to ensure the safety of the bike parade participants. During this event, streets will be staffed with uniformed Police Officers to assist and direct traffic. Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays and may choose to alter their travel route to avoid this area.
