Join the Wheaton Police Department from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 in Memorial Park, 208 W Union Avenue, for National Night Out. As a part of a nationwide night where communities connect with their local police departments and raise awareness about safety in the community, the Wheaton Police Department encourages you to bring your family for a fun night in Memorial Park.
This free event will include:
- food & drinks
- Touch-a-Truck station
- SWAT obstacle course for kids
- DJ
- face painter/glitter tattoos
- balloon twister
- performances by local groups
- visits from our high school mascots, and more.
Plus, don't miss the Dunk a Cop for Charity! A donation for Family Shelter Service will give you the chance to dunk a Wheaton Police Officer in the dunk tank. Accepted items include:
- Personal hygiene items
- Cleaning products
- Diapers & Pull-ups size 5
- Hand/bath towels
- Batteries
- Boxed pasta
- Gasoline gift cards
- Monetary donations
Family Shelter Service is a local organization that helps those affected by domestic violence.
