[ARCHIVED] Share Your Thoughts on Adams Park Landscape Options

park

The City continues working toward creating a master landscape plan for Adams Park. Come out and share your input before the Wheaton Public Library’s Concert in the Park on Tuesday, June 19. Representatives will have displays with different landscaping options for you to view and share your opinion on which elements you like best. The concert begins at 7 p.m. on the library’s West Plaza, but you can visit the display starting at 6 p.m. – and get a free treat, too!

The City engaged the services of Upland Design to develop a landscaping design to guide the maintenance and care of Adams Park. As part of this process, the City solicited public feedback through a survey, and the City received more than 600 responses. Additionally, the City hosted two public meetings to allow residents to discuss the history, existing conditions and future needs of the park.

The library’s concert features The StingRays, playing rock ‘n roll hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. This energetic foursome will get you dancing and will test your trivia knowledge of your favorite rock ‘n roll oldies. Concerts are held outdoors on the library’s West Plaza overlooking Adam’s Park. Seating is first come, first served; please feel free to bring chairs and blankets. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held inside the library.
