This afternoon, the Wheaton Police Department responded to Northside Park for a report of an individual who had reportedly threatened a car of individuals who were driving through the park.
Police responded to the area and determined that this incident was the result of a misunderstanding between all parties involved. Police were able to de-escalate the situation and restore peace. This incident does not pose a threat to the community. We are providing this information in efforts to relieve any concerns of those in the area.
