City Council Considering Zoning Ordinance Updates Incorporating Roosevelt Road Plan

The Council is considering ordinances to implement the Roosevelt Road Corridor Plan into the City’s Zoning Ordinance. This multi-year City project represents an extensive process that included the input of the community, City Council and City staff to create a guide for future development along Roosevelt Road in a way that is responsive to existing conditions and emerging trends and best suited for the different segments of Roosevelt Road, while respecting adjacent neighborhoods.

The Council will take formal action on the proposed ordinance at the Feb. 3 meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting is open to the public and a recording will be made available on the City’s website. For more information, visit the City's website.

The City is proposing transitioning the City’s building codes from the 2018 International Code Council (ICC) model code and 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC) to the 2024 ICC model code and 2023 NEC. You can read more about the proposed changes on the City’s website.

The Council will take formal action on the proposed updates at the Feb. 3 meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting is open to the public and a recording will be made available on the City’s website.
