2023 Good Citizens Awards

  1. Nominee Categories: Student (elementary, middle, high school, or college) | Adult | Groups 
    Purpose of the Award:
    Do you know a neighbor, friend, or local group who goes above and beyond for the Wheaton community? Nominate a Wheaton resident or group who has acted in a particularly generous, kind, or selfless manner for the good of our city to be recognized in the annual City of Wheaton Good Citizens Awards.

    Successful nominations should include the following:

    • 1-2 paragraphs "bragging" about your nominee!
    • Provide specific details about the volunteer or community service work.
      • This could include but is not limited to: volunteering for a non-profit organization, civic work in the community, neighborly help, etc.
    • Does not include paid work or jobs.
    • Must be a resident of Wheaton.

    Criteria: Nominee must be a current resident of Wheaton and performed something for the benefit of Wheaton or its citizens. No one who currently holds or is running for a political office is eligible for a Good Citizens award.
    Nomination forms are due by March 31, 2023. The Community Relations Commission will review nominations.
    Award recipients will be honored at the Wheaton City Council meeting on May 15, 2023.
