Temporary Parking Restrictions for DuPage County FairThe DuPage County Fair will take place July 25-28, 2024, at the DuPage Event Center and Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road. During this time, there will be no parking on the following streets: - Both sides of Manchester Road, between Hazelton Ave. and Knollwood Drive
- East side of Beverly St., between Manchester Road and Childs St.
- East side of Erie St., between Manchester Road and Childs St.
- East side of Shirley Court
- East side of White Oak Drive
- Both sides of Hickory Lane
- East side of Vernon Ave.
- East side of Pierce Ave., between Manchester Road and Childs St.
- South side of Liberty Drive, between Knollwood Drive and the dead end
- East side of Morgan Ave., between Manchester Road and Childs St.
- East side of Dorchester Ave., between Manchester Road and Childs St.
- East side of Woodlawn St., between Manchester Road and Childs St.
- East side of Knollwood Drive, between Manchester Road and Liberty Drive
- East side of Westwood Drive
- South side of Beecher Ave., between Birch Drive and Westwood Drive
- Both sides of Beecher Ave., between Westwood Drive and the Graf Park entrance
- West side of Birch Drive

Storm Sewer Replacement Work to Begin Next WeekThe week of July 29, 2024, City crews will begin emergency repairs to replace approximately 850 feet of storm sewer pipe on Woodlawn Street between Liberty Drive and Childs Street, which is adjacent to Emerson Elementary School. The City had planned to replace this pipe in 2025, however a collapse of a portion of the pipe requires prompt action. The City expects this work will be completed by the end of August. Four Late Night Metra UP-W Line Trains Cancelled on Friday, July 26Metra has announced that the last two inbound and the last two outbound trains on Metra’s Union Pacific West (UP-W) Line will be cancelled on Friday night, July 26, for work on a major track construction project. The last two outbound trains scheduled to depart Ogilvie at 11:40 p.m. and 12:40 a.m. will not operate Friday night, July 26, and the last two inbound trains scheduled to depart Elburn at 9:25 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. are also cancelled. Wheaton Municipal Band to Host Special Performance at Edman Chapel on July 27The Wheaton Municipal Band will perform an anniversary celebration at Edman Chapel, 401 E. Franklin St., on Saturday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and "The President's Own" United States Marine Band join Bruce Moss to celebrate his 45th year as conductor of the Wheaton Municipal Band.
