UPDATE 4/8/19 11:00 a.m. - The Wheaton Police Department is still investigating an incident that took place this weekend near the 1300 block of North Main Street. There will still be a police presence in that area today, as the investigation is ongoing. The Police would like to remind the community that the area is safe and the public is not at risk in any way. In an effort to not impede the investigation or potential charges, we are not releasing any other details at this time, and we appreciate everyone's patience and trust as Wheaton Police work this investigation.


UPDATE 1:10 p.m. - Thank you for your patience as the police continue to investigate an incident on North Main Street in Wheaton today. We cannot release any additional information at this time, as we cannot jeopardize the investigation. Please know the community is not in danger and when we can share details, we will. We understand it can be frustrating to not have all the details at once, but we assure you that the community is not at risk. The safety of all our residents is a top priority for the City of Wheaton.


There will be a heavy police presence in the 1300 block of North Main Street in Wheaton this morning, Sunday, April 7, 2019, from an ongoing police investigation. The roadway will remain open. 

This is an isolated incident and it is contained. There is no threat to the community. 

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
