Freedom of Information Act

The City Clerk handles all freedom of information requests (FOIA) in accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Freedom of Information Act for residents or Wheaton businesses who want to view city documents.

How to Submit a FOIA Request

  2. Read the FOIA Policy and Filing Instructions.
  3. Submit an online FOIA request.

Submitting a Manual Request

For administrative and environmental purposes, the City of Wheaton prefers FOIA requests to be submitted using this online submission form.

However, you may still submit your request using this FOIA form (PDF) if you prefer to print your request and submit it manually.
