Garbage & Recycling

PLEASE NOTE: Wheaton will begin a new garbage/recycling/yard waste/organics program on Oct. 1, 2016, served by Lakeshore Recycling Systems. See more information on the new program that starts Oct. 1

garbage_blue_stickerWheaton residents receive curbside garbage, yard waste and recycling pickup service through Advanced Disposal Services through Sept. 30, 2016. Residents buy garbage/yard waste and leaf stickers to place on the respective containers for pickup, enabling residents to only pay for what they throw away.

Note: Yard waste (grass clippings, brush, plant material) and leaves are collected at the curb from the first full week of April through the second full week in December.

For recyclable materials, Wheaton residents should use the blue 65-gallon blue recycling carts provided to their household. Recycling carts do not require stickers, encouraging Wheaton residents to recycle as much as possible.
