Garbage & Recycling
Wheaton residents will receive curbside garbage, yard waste and recycling pickup service through Advanced Disposal Services (previously owned by Veolia) through June 30, 2016. Residents buy garbage/yard waste and leaf stickers to place on the respective containers for pickup. Rather than charging a flat fee, this system enables residents to only pay for what they throw away.
For recyclable materials, Wheaton residents should use the blue 65-gallon blue recycling carts provided to their household. Recycling carts do not require stickers, encouraging Wheaton residents to recycle as much as possible.

- New Year's Day: No pickup on Jan. 1, 2013
Pickup for Jan. 1-4 will be delayed by one day.
- Memorial Day: No pickup on May 27, 2013
Pickup for May 27-31 will be delayed by one day.
- Independence Day: No pickup on July 4, 2013
Pickup July 4-5 will be delayed by one day.
- Labor Day: No pickup on Sept. 2, 2013
Pickup for Sept. 2-6 will be delayed by one day.
- Thanksgiving Day: No pickup on Nov. 28, 2013
Pickup for Nov. 28-29 will be delayed by one day.
- Christmas Day: No pickup on Dec. 25, 2013
Pickup for Dec. 25-27 will be delayed by one day.
