Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Planned for July 3-4

parade-2011cGet out your red, white and blue. The community will celebrate Independence Day with two events hosted by the Wheaton Park District.

Wheaton’s traditional fireworks show will take place at dusk on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on Manchester Road. Festivities will begin at Graf Park at 5:30 p.m., including a DJ, carnival rides and food vendors before the main event, the fireworks show.

Then on Wednesday, July 4, the annual Fourth of July Parade will march through the streets of downtown Wheaton. This year’s theme for the parade is “Snapshots of America.” The parade starts at 10 a.m.

Parade Route: (Map Below)

  • Starts at Hawthorne and Main Street
  • South on Main Street
  • Turns west (right) on Wesley Street
  • Turns south (left) on Wheaton Avenue
  • Turns east (left) on Front Street
  • Concludes at Front and Cross streets

The parade will be videotaped and shown live on City of Wheaton Channel 10 (CWC10).
