Recycle Your Unwanted Paint or Pick Up Free Paint
County Offers Free Latex Paint, Recycles Unwanted Paint During Summer Collections

DuPage County residents looking to get rid of unwanted usable latex paint can recycle it during designated summer collections at no charge. Usable paint has not been frozen or mixed with other products and is less than 10 years old.
To recycle your unwanted latex paint, bring it to the DuPage County Public Works Woodridge Greene Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility, which is located at 7900 S. Route 53 in Woodridge.
Paint will be accepted during the following times:
- Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., June 1-Aug. 14, 2009
- Selected Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, 2009
Paint will be filtered and reblended into a variety of colors, types and finishes. This recycled paint is available to residents, businesses, schools and community groups free of charge. Five-gallon buckets of recycled paint will be available for pickup at the same location between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 8-Aug. 14.
